This is not an SD card reader. It is a smart card reader which can be used for the CRS (Carta Regionale dei Servizi). On the Regione Lombardia website (http://www.crs.regione.lombardia.it/) there's a manual for installing this device using GNU/Linux, but it supports very old distributions only. I have been not able to use this device under any current GNU/Linux distribution, no matter if free or otherwise, so I choose to mark this device as not compatible with free software. Somebody else may on day find a way to make it run, anyway.
